What is the LTS Version
LTS stands for Long-Term Support. The LTS version of ROSI is based on the previous major version (currently: v2.x.x). The primary purpose of the LTS version is for users who prioritize stability and reliability over having the latest features. The LTS version receives critical bug fixes, security updates, and YT-DLP updates but does not get new features or major changes (unless needed by YT-DLP).
NOTE: ROSI-LTS is installed in a different directory than ROSI. This is so that users can install both the LTS and NON-LTS versions at the same time without conflicting data between the two.
Use the LTS version if you:
- Prefer the previous design of ROSI.
- Prefer the "battle-tested" versions of ROSI to maintain stability.
- Don't want to update to the new version just yet.
Use the Normal (non-lts) version if you:
- Want the new features ROSI v3.x.x supports.
- Want the new ROSI v3.x.x UI.
- Prefer to stay on the current main release pipeline.
