Rosie SSH Release Notes

Release information for Rosie SSH, the iPhone and iPad SSH client.

Rosie SSH is being prepared for TestFlight and App Store review. Public release notes will appear here when App Store releases ship.

Initial release focus

  • Native iPhone and iPad SSH terminal.
  • Saved hosts and Quick Connect.
  • Ed25519, ECDSA P-256, ECDSA P-384 key generation and OpenSSH key import.
  • Secure Enclave P-256 SSH authentication on physical devices.
  • Trust on first use host key verification.
  • SFTP browsing, search, sort, hidden files, folder and file creation, streamed uploads, downloads, rename, delete, text preview and edit, Quick Look, share and export, permissions (chmod), favorites, and recents.
  • SFTP reuses the active terminal connection when available.
  • Optional App Lock, privacy shield, and disconnect-on-lock.
  • Free tier with optional one-time Rosie SSH Pro unlock (unlimited hosts/keys, custom themes, one-hop jump hosts, and local port forwarding).
  • Local-only credential storage with iOS Keychain.

Known limitations

  • iOS may suspend SSH connections shortly after the app is backgrounded.
  • Secure Enclave keys require a physical device with a Secure Enclave.
  • Very old SSH servers that require obsolete algorithms may not connect.
