Rosie SSH Privacy Policy

Learn how Rosie SSH handles hosts, credentials, purchases, and privacy.

No Account, No Tracking, No Telemetry

Rosie SSH does not collect analytics, tracking identifiers, credentials, terminal output, file contents, or server lists. Your SSH data stays on your device and on the servers you choose to connect to.

Data Collection

Rosie SSH does not collect personal data. There is no Rosie SSH account system, analytics pipeline, telemetry service, or remote licensing server.

Hosts and Settings

Saved host metadata, such as display names, hostnames, ports, usernames, and non-secret preferences, is stored locally on your device.

Terminal preferences, trusted host keys, and app settings are also stored locally.

Credentials and Private Keys

Passwords and private key material are stored in the iOS Keychain on your device. Rosie SSH does not send credentials or private keys to Rosie.run.

When you connect to an SSH server, credentials are used only for the SSH authentication flow with that server.

App Lock and the privacy shield

App Lock is optional and off by default. If you turn it on, Rosie SSH can require device biometrics or the device passcode before showing the app UI.

A privacy shield covers the app when it is in the background. You can optionally disconnect SSH sessions when the device locks. Lock settings stay on the device.

Terminal and SFTP Data

Terminal input, terminal output, file listings, uploads, previews, and SFTP operations are exchanged directly between your device and the SSH server you configure.

Rosie SSH does not record, transmit, or analyze terminal output or file contents for Rosie.run.

Purchases

Rosie SSH Pro purchases are handled by Apple through StoreKit. Rosie SSH checks local App Store entitlement information to determine whether Pro is unlocked.

Rosie SSH does not run its own receipt server and does not receive your payment details.

Opening help, FAQ, privacy, or support links leaves the app and opens a web page. Standard web server logs may be created by the website host, but Rosie SSH does not attach your saved hosts, credentials, terminal content, or app database to those requests.

App Privacy Summary

Your SSH setup stays on your device. Rosie SSH has no tracking, no telemetry, no account, and no cloud sync service.

If you have privacy questions, see the Rosie SSH FAQ or contact support.
