All of Dacx's dependencies are already taken care of with the Dacx installer! You don't need to install anything else.

Dacx uses libmpv, so it plays common formats including MP3, FLAC, WAV, OGG, AAC, Opus, MP4, MKV, AVI, WebM, and more.

Yes. Dacx integrates with system media session (SMTC / Now Playing) on supported platforms, including artwork and scrubbing where the OS allows.

Compact mode shrinks the player UI. You can also enable always-on-top so Dacx stays visible over other windows.

Yes. Dacx can check GitHub releases for new versions. You can also download builds manually from the releases page.
